As depicted in PHIL 20198, this female patient presented to a clinical setting exhibiting a number of red, vesiculopapular bumps near the inguinal region of her upper, left thigh, which proved to have been caused by the bite of the mite, Pyemotes ventricosus. Here, you are presented with a closer view of one of these mite bites. Also, see PHIL 5492, for a drawing of a P. ventricosus mite.
