The patient depicted here, presented to a clinical setting exhibiting a cutaneous lesion of his upper lip involving the vermilion border in the area of the philtrum. Referred to as a papuloverrucous lesion, its cause was found to be due to a disseminated coccidioidomycosis infection, brought on by the fungal organism, Coccidioides immitis.
