Captured inside Kagadi Hospital, in the Kibaale District of Uganda, during that nation’s July - August 2012, Ebola outbreak, this image depicted some of the health professionals, who had traveled to the country in response to the outbreak, and who assisted with the associated epidemiologic investigation. At far left was Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Epidemiologist, Dr. Trevor Shoemaker, Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officers, Dr. Barbara Knust (blue t-shirt), and Dr. Ilana Schafer (brown top), and at far right, former ABC Chief Health and Medical editor, and former CDC Director, Dr. Richard Besser. The man in the background was unidentified.
