This image depicts the skin destruction, or vaccinia necrosum on the upper left arm of a 64 year old patient, at the site of his smallpox vaccination. See PHIL 1996, for a closer view of the vaccination site, and PHIL 13302, for a later appearance of this site, as well as the spread of the generalized vaccinial rash.
