This image was taken during Uganda’s July - August 2012, Ebola outbreak, and depicted Dr. Richard Besser, formerly with ABC News, as he was discussing the outbreak with a group of young men at Kagadi hospital, about their understanding of Ebola. The hospital is located in the Kibaale District of Uganda, where according to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ebola outbreak had begun. Dr. Besser is a former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director, and at the time of this picture, was ABC’s Chief Health and Medical editor, sent with a team to Uganda to cover the Ebola outbreak.
