Photographed in May, 2013, this image depicts Haitian Field Epidemiology Training Program (HFETP) resident, Bernateau Margarette, in the process of measuring the height of a Haitian study participant, ensuring that his body was flat against the measuring board, in order to obtain the most accurate value.
This study included the completion of a questionnaire, as depicted in PHIL 19708. These activities were part of a knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) study that was performed in the urban area of Ennery, in order to determine the prevalence of arterial hypertension. The 3 main activities of the study included the KAP interview, blood pressure recording, as well as the measurement of participants’ height and weight.
