Photographed on May 14, 2013, this image depicts Haitian Field Epidemiology Training Program (HFETP) resident, M.J. Laraque, in the process of taking a blood pressure reading from a young female Haitian study participant.
As you see here, this study included the completion of a questionnaire. These activities were part of a knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) study that was performed in the urban area of Ennery, in May, 2013, in order to determine the prevalence of arterial hypertension. The 3 main activities of the study included the KAP interview, blood pressure recording, as well as the measurement of participants’ height and weight.
