Captured on August 27, 2014, during a cutaneous anthrax outbreak in Sirajganj district of Bangladesh, Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) fellow, Dr. Samsad Rabbani Khan, was photographed here, as he was interviewing a patient who’d presented with a lesion under his left eye, which was determined to be caused by exposure to cutaneous anthrax. All 28 patients affected by the outbreak had a history of handling sick slaughtered animals.
