Captured in January 2014, this photograph depicted Nigerian Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) resident, Dr. Mariam Florence Ogo as she was administering a dosage of oral polio vaccine (OPV) to a child at an underserved farming and pastoring community, in Pakka, Adamawa, Nigeria. Children in this difficult-to-reach community, were eager to receive the polio drops. Nigerian FETP residents are working to eradicate polio from Nigeria through the National-Stop Transmission of Polio program (STOP).
