Photographed in in the capital city of Shimla, in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, this image depicts a group portrait, which included eight school children who attend the Central School of Jakhoo Hills in Shimla, as they displayed their posters they’d created during a rabies poster competition in September, 2014.
Additional Information:
Standing behind the children were graduate residents of India’s Field Epidemiologic Training Program (FETP), whose duties included the education of children like these on the subject of animal bites, bite first aid, and vaccination procedures used to combat rabies.
