This illustration entitled, Scale Drawings of Entamoeba histolytica and Artifacts, which may be Confusing, serves the purpose of providing a comparative view of the morphology of an Entamoeba histolytica parasitic trophozoite containing a red blood cell (RBC), and the size and ultrastructural details exhibited by two epithelial cells, a pus cell, i.e., white blood cell (WBC), a Charcot-Leyden crystal, and a Blastocystis hominis protozoan. Note that in this case, the E. histolytica parasite was significantly larger than the other elements included here.
