This photomicrograph of a Papanicolaou test, or Pap test, revealed findings indicative of a positive result for the presence of atypical squamous cell dysplasia, also referred to as low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (LSIL). Compare the morphology seen here, to PHIL 19477, which was designated as high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL), which exhibited a greater degree of cellular dysplasia.
