Entitled, “National Bring Your Child to Work Day”, this image was captured by CDC Visual Information Specialist, Brenda Jones in the Division of Applied Research and Technology (DART), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). To enlighten young minds, and share the many facets of occupational health and safety, NIOSH celebrated National Bring Your Child to Work Day. This child was demonstrating the system that is used for analyzing lifting and repetitive-motion jobs associated with musculoskeletal injuries. The image earned Jones a tie for the Second Place award in the 2010 CDC Connects Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “Domestic People and Programs”.
