Entitled, “Ashtray”, this image was captured by CDC Lifestyle Coordinator, Becky Rentz in the Health Promotion Programs Office of Health and Safety, and depicts a bit of what took place during a 2009 Go Green, Get Healthy Initiative, a collaborative effort involving the Office of Health and Safety, and CDC workers. Here you see CDC staff participating in the Earth Walk along the waterfall trail on the Roybal campus. The Earth Walk kicked off the “Take a Walk” initiative, to encourage employees to increase their physical activity while at work. With this photo, Becky tied for the Third Place award in the 2009
Annual Public Health in Action Photo Contest, in the category of “Domestic Programs/People”.
