The Petri dish culture plate depicted here, contained a growth medium of Sabouraud dextrose agar (SDA), which had been inoculated with a species of mold belonging to the genus, Acremonium, formerly known as Cephalosporium, and had subsequently grown this intricately ruffled, off-white to beige-colored colony.
