Captured during the necropsy of a cow that had been diagnosed with a case of bovine malignant lymphoma, also known as lymphosarcoma, this image revealed pathologic changes involving the animal’s intestinal tract, and in particular, you will note the presence of enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes, one pointed out by the knife blade. This bovine specimen had been exhibiting generalized inanition, which means a state of exhaustion, or weakness due to a lack of nutrition caused by starvation.
