This image depicts a close posterior view of a patient’s neck and upper back. The man’s skin displayed a dermatopathologic condition known as acne conglobata, which is a rarer form of acne vulgaris, though much more severe, causing extensive scarring, and a coalescence of developing inflammatory cutaneous nodules.
