This photomicrograph highlighted cells extracted in a guinea pig bone marrow specimen, that included a number of megakaryocytes (arrowheads) with their lobulated nuclei, which had been dispersed throughout a large number of more darkly-stained, smaller, polymorphonuclear (PMN) leukocytes.
