This image depicts a close view of a female patient’s perianal region. The patient presented with a case of granuloma inguinale, also known as Donovanosis, which had manifested as a perineal ulceration, and was caused by the Gram-negative bacterium, Klebsiella granulomatis, formerly known as Calymmatobacterium granulomatis.
