This image depicts a close view of a domesticated cat’s tail, revealing the presence of a lesion that was depigmented, and had begun to lose hairs, which was diagnosed as a case of dermatophytosis, due to the fungal organism, Microsporum mentagrophytes. This fungal infection is more commonly known as ringworm.
