Description: Caption:
This was a urease test performed in order to determine the taxonomic identification of Mycobacterium spp. bacteria. If a pink color develops, as was the case in tube #3, activity is present, and the test is determined to be positive. If there is no color change, or the color changes to yellow, as in the case of tubes #1, 2, and 4, then urease activity is absent, and the test is determined to be negative.
