This photograph was captured by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) team member, and EIS Officer, Heidi Soeters, PhD, MPH, during Guinea’s 2014, Ebola outbreak, depicting one of the partitioned rooms of an Ebola treatment unit (ETU), created to fight this viral hemorrhagic fever. This clinical setting incorporated a very simple layout, consisting of a low bedframe, a partition separating the paired bedframes, and two plastic emesis catch buckets.
