This photograph was captured by one of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Environmental Health Scientists, Lindsey Horton, MPH, during Guinea’s 2014, Ebola outbreak, and depicts CDC team member, Epidemiological Investigative Services (EIS) Officer, Heidi Soeters, PhD, MPH, washing her hands at the Regional Hospital of N’Zérékoré, as she was getting ready to perform a healthcare facility assessment. Hand washing stations filled with a diluted solution of chlorine, are widely prevalent, especially at the entrance to healthcare facilities.
