Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology that was exhibited by the dermatophytic fungus, Trichophyton violaceum. This specimen exhibited sterile mycelia, devoid of the organism's reproductive cells, known as conidia.
