Photographed on October 22, 2014, by U.S. Air Force, Senior Airman Cory D. Payne, this image depicts Naval Medical Research Bio Defense, Chief of Clinical Research, U.S. Navy Cmd. James Lawler, as he was briefing a 30 person joint service medical support team in an effort to train personnel to respond quickly, effectively and safely in the event of additional Ebola cases in the United States. This briefing was held at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) in San Antonio, Texas. The training would prepare military medical professionals to work alongside civilian counterparts, when responding to the disease if needed.
