Caption:
Cultivated on a medium of thiamine-enriched agar, and viewed under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology displayed by the dermatophytic fungus, Trichophyton verrucosum. In particular, you will note the presence of numerous microconidia, and septate, oblong shaped, multicellular macroconidia, as well as diaphanous, threadlike hyphal filaments.
