Entitled, “Reducing Sodium: From Menu to Mouth”, this is one of a series of informative infographics created in 2014, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in order to disseminate information to consumers about the high levels of sodium contained in fast food, or sit down restaurants, as compared to home cooked meals. The graphic also provides the following 5-strategies, to help support sodium reduction in restaurant foods:

- Provide nutrition information at the point of purchase

- Make sodium reduction a part of training for restaurant licensing

- Make health department dietitians available to assist with nutrition support

- Incentivize sodium reduction through favorable changes to licensure and zoning requirements

- Create group purchasing organizations for saving on purchase of lower sodium items
