This image depicts a left lateral view of a rhesus monkey’s, Macaca mulatta, head and upper torso. Note that the left outer ear of the monkey, displayed crusty lesions had been diagnosed as a case of dermatophytosis, and had been caused by the fungal organism, Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
