This infant was born deceased, due to a genetic disorder known as osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) congenita, formerly osteogenesis imperfecta tarda, which has also been referred to as Ekman-Lobstein syndrome, Vrolik syndrome, and glass-bone disease. In the case of this infant, you will note the characteristic craniofacial deformities associated with OI.
