This young male patient had received the intradermal Casoni skin test on his right arm. The test revealed the presence of the Echinococcus sp. tapeworm in this individual. However, due to the unreliability of this skin test, today, a serologic testing protocol has taken its place, for it is much more sensitive, and reliable.
