Under a magnification of 600X, this photomicrograph revealed ultrastructural morphology exhibited by an immature sporangium of the fungal organism, Rhizopus oryzae, also known as Rhizopus arrhizus var. delemar. This specimen was isolated from a patient with a case of phycomycosis (mucormycosis), a form of zygomycosis.
