Caption:
This photograph depicts a cradled one-week-old infant with a cutaneous rash that was diagnosed as a case of erythema toxicum neonatorum. This rash had to be differentiated from that of staphylococcal pustulosis through the appropriate laboratory tests. Note the multiple erythematous papulopustular lesions dispersed over the baby’s skin.
