This image from 1974, depicted a village scene, said to be somewhere in Northern India, and was captured during a trip made by a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) staff member, in order to capture native monkeys that would be added to the Center’s breeding colony in Atlanta, Georgia. In this particular scene, three village inhabitants were at the site of the village’s water supply, which in this case, was a well, constructed from stacked rectangular blocks.
