Caption:
This 1972 photograph depicted a gathering of children in a former Yugoslavian village. Note that over half of the group was being treated for a dermatophytic fungal infection of the scalp, known as tinea capitis. Those being treated had had their scalps shaved, and an unknown orange colored medication applied, which seemed to have stained their skin. A public health practitioner wearing an apron, could be seen standing on the right.
