This image depicts a Petri dish culture plate containing a blood agar growth medium that had been inoculated with Peptostreptococcus prevotii, formerly known as Peptococcus prevotii, Gram-positive cocci, that had been incubated for a 48-hour time period. This view highlighted the colonial morphology exhibited by four of the resultant colonies.
