This image depicts a close view of a male patient’s penis, highlighting the glans and prepuce from a ventral perspective, revealing the presence of a primary syphilitic lesion, known as a chancre, in the region of the preputial frenulum. A diagnostic work-up lead to a diagnosis of a primary syphilis, caused by the bacterial spirochete, Treponema pallidum.
