This is the twenty-first in a series of images, PHIL 16989 through 17013, depicting a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Public Health Library and Information Center (PHLIC) exhibit entitled, Bringing the World Home: CDC’s Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) Celebrate Peace Corps Week 02/23/14 – 03/01/14. From the small Honduran town of Taulabé, located in the Honduran department of Comayagua, this is an example of Lencan pottery, handcrafted by artisans using traditional methods that have existed for hundreds of years. This artifact was donated by RPCV, Leticia Davila, whose Peace Corps Volunteer tour took her to Honduras from 2011–2012.
