This image depicts a close view of a Petri dish culture plate that contained a blood agar growth medium, which had been inoculated with a Gram-positive bacterium of the genus, Streptococcus. Results indicated that the organism was a nonhemolytic bacterium, for there was no detectable hemolysis surrounding any of the colonies.
