This Petri dish culture plate contained a growth medium of blood agar (BAP), which had been inoculated with an a-hemolytic, Streptococcus sp. bacterial culture. After having undergone an unknown incubation period, the plate gave rise to numerous bacterial colonies, each surrounded by a greenish-brown colored halo.
