This image was captured during a canine necropsy at a point, where the animal’s lungs were being examined. In this particular view, the mediastinal contents, specifically in the region of the pulmonary hila, revealing the presence of lymphadenopathy, or enlargement of the lymph nodes, which turned out to be as a result of coccidioidomycosis, a fungal infection due to a Coccidioides sp. organism.
