Under a magnification of 1200X, this photomicrograph revealed histopathology found contained within a molluscum contagiosum papule. Particularly important, was the presence of granular, eosinophilic (pinkly staining) inclusions, known as Henderson-Paterson bodies that could be seen within the keratinocytes of what were once the former stratum basale, stratum spinosum and stratum granulosum.
