Seen from a dorsal perspective, this was the foot of an unidentified species of mouse that had become swollen and erythematous due to an invasive fungal infection known as lobomycosis. This infection was caused by the yeast-like fungal organism, Lacazia loboi, formerly known as Loboa loboi.
