This 1972 image depicted the activities taking place at what was an active refuse depot somewhere in Kentucky. In this particular view, a worker was unloading what is referred to as a spill truck, while using the minimum amount of required safety equipment, also known as personal protective equipment (PPE), which included a facemask, thick rubber forearm length gloves, and an apron. The pesticides being unloaded had been involved in a transportation related accident, and were in need of their proper disposal.
