This image depicts the interior of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Library, located on the organization’s Roybal Campus, in the Atlanta, Georgia suburb of Decatur. In this particular view, a close up of one of the bookshelves reveals some of the many periodicals available to Library visitors. The CDC collections span the field of public health. Print and electronic resources include topics in the realm of disease prevention, epidemiology, infectious diseases, global health, chronic diseases, environmental health, injury prevention, and occupational safety and health. The main library is developing a small, but growing Landmarks in Public Health collection, including items of significance to the history of public health. The Pittsburgh library houses an extensive historic collection on mining and mining safety.
