Under a magnification of 900X, this hematoxylin and eosin-stained (H&E) photomicrograph of a lung tissue specimen revealed a case of toxoplasmosis in a patient who had also been diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), also known as chronic granulocytic leukemia (CGL). Note the Toxoplasma gondii tissue cyst, within which bradyzoites could be seen developing.
