This was a scene captured in an unknown location in Africa during the world’s smallpox immunization campaign, the success of which put an end to this dreaded disease. Depicted here, were local inhabitants, each in line awaiting his smallpox vaccination, administered by way of a pressurized jet injector, called a Ped-O-Jet®.
