Under a magnification of 400X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the cytoarchitectural morphology seen within a Gömöri-stained tissue sample, extracted from a pigeon’s brain, and which was caused by the fungal mold, Ochroconis gallopava, formerly Dactylaria gallopava. Note the organism’s darkly stained branching hyphae.
