As she was being guided by her mother, this 2-year-old child was holding on to the back of a wooden chair, which helped to stabilize her standing position. She had been born with spastic diplegia, also known as Littleā€™s disease, a form of cerebral palsy, which had been caused by a case of congenital rubella.
