The papular lesions on this patient’s scrotal skin were diagnosed as benign growths known as steatomas, otherwise referred to as sebaceous cysts. Steatomas are tumors, or cysts involving the skin’s sebaceous glands, whereupon, the fatty glandular contents known as sebum, becomes clogged within the gland, thereby, producing an enlargement that is clearly visible here. Sometime, if these cysts remain unchecked for years, they can undergo a process known as calcareous degeneration, or calcification.
