This photograph depicted a frontal view of a Petri dish that contained the growth medium Sabouraud dextrose agar, upon which a colony of the fungus, Trichophyton rubrum var. granulare, had been cultured. Revealed, was the colonial morphology, which in this case, exhibited a texture that was wooly, with a coloration that ranged from a white central region, to a light-brown periphery.
